Asian-inspired itsu restaurant chain will set up shop in Brixton, with a limited free food offer from midday today, Thursday 8th September 2022 – Brixton Buzz

Another big restaurant chain is coming to Brixton with Asian-themed itus competing for custom next to adjacent McDonald’s and KFC fast food outlets – and they’re offering free food to anyone who wants to queue in the rain starting at noon today.

Neil Miller – who wears the grand title of Chief Customer Officer – said:

“We look forward to adding our affordable Asian-inspired menu to the mix, to reflect the diversity of people who eat, drink, shop and live in Brixton.

We therefore believe that our new digital ordering screens will be perfectly placed to help our customers personalize and enhance their dishes according to their tastes and dietary preferences.

Before the official opening, itsu invites residents to a first lunch on Thursday, September 8. The itsu favorites will be home from 12 p.m. for the first 400 visitors.

Recent openings across the UK have seen first-look lunches go viral with people queuing for hours around the block, providing invaluable free publicity for the chain.

Itu’s menu includes hot noodle and rice bowls, fresh sushi and salads as well as their steamed gyoza and bao buns.

The majority of the dishes are under [500] good calories and cost less than £7.50.

They told Brixton Buzz:

Along with kombucha and green tea, you’ll find refill water bottles sold at a discount, with a percentage of sales going to the Blue Marine Foundation.

State-of-the-art digital ordering screens have been designed for lightning-fast service, customization of hot dishes and instant access to nutritional and allergen information.

Guests can dine at bespoke elm wood tables, surrounded by fresh orchids. All dishes are available for take-out and delivery.

Opened in the former HSBC building, itsu took inspiration from the Apple Genius Bar to present its new it’s senseis who will be waiting in front of the house to welcome customers and answer any questions.

Students and NHS workers are welcome at 15% off their bill at any time. Everyone is welcome at the half-price sale of sushi and salads 30 minutes before closing. This eliminates food waste.

The Asian-inspired food brand opens its ‘eat beautiful’ restaurant in Brixton at 11am on Friday September 9, 2022.
