Fast food chain offering teachers nationwide free meals

On Teachers’ Day, McDonald’s Malaysia is giving away 500,000 free meal vouchers to teachers nationwide, which they can redeem at any nearby McDonald’s restaurant.

The May 16-June 30 initiative is part of the quick-service restaurant’s mission to nurture and encourage communities.

The free meal vouchers will benefit 500,000 teachers working in national and government-subsidized schools under the Ministry of Education.

They can enjoy a Spicy Sesame McChicken or Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal using the vouchers.

The distribution of the free meal vouchers is an extension of McDonald’s efforts to honor teachers and their contributions to the nation.

On May 14, McDonald’s announced the 25 winners of the 2022 McDonald’s Anugerah Guru Inspirasi (AGI).

This is an annual award that calls on Malaysians to nominate their ‘Cikgu Luar Biasa’ who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to educate students holistically.

This year, McDonald’s received more than 5,600 public nominations for AGI 2022, which is now in its sixth iteration.

McDonald’s will also be hosting Teachers’ Day parties with fun games at all of its restaurants nationwide through June 30.
