Former Starbucks chef joins plant-based restaurant chain

SAN DIEGO — Steve Figliola has been named director of business development at Plant Power Restaurant Group, LLC, parent company of Plant Power Fast Food.

He joins the Starbucks quick-service restaurant chain, where he was regional vice president, overseeing retail operations in Southern California and Hawaii. He was also vice president of international development at Papa Murphy’s and director of operations at Taco Bell.

Mr Figliola is the latest in a series of restaurant industry veterans to join Plant Power, which was launched in 2016 to meet the needs of consumers looking for healthier and more sustainable fast food choices. . Other recent additions include Michele Lange, director of training and development, who joined the company after Chipotle Mexican Grill and Del Taco.

Plant Power offers a variety of burgers, fries and shakes made with 100% plant-based ingredients. It currently has 10 units, with six new units in active development and 20 additional units in its franchise development pipeline.
