Healthy restaurant chain opens new Austin restaurant in West Lake Hills

Healthy, casual eatery on a “soul-satisfying mission to spread positively delicious vibes” takes root in the West Lake Hills neighborhood, aiming to serve farm-fresh dishes that take locals to their place of happiness .

Child Floweran Arizona-based fast-casual restaurant under the Fox Restaurant Concepts Umbrella, which is known for its simple yet impactful meals made from scratch and its nutritious, customizable menu, is opening its third local restaurant at Westbank Market, 3300 Bee Cave Rd., on Austin’s west side.

The new location is expected to open in late 2022, according to a statement, and will mark the 11th restaurant in Texas for the concept, which currently has 28 locations across the country, with several more in the works.

Savvy Austin foodies know that Flower Child already has two local restaurants: one downtown at 500 W. Second St. in the Seaholm district and one at Domain Northside. But for the latecomers, we’ll give a little more information: Flower Child is the way to healthy eating without sacrificing flavor.

Vegetarians, vegans, paleo and keto diners, and just generally hungry noshers can dig up a slew of fresh produce menu finds that are a far cry from the variety offerings in the garden – because who said eating clean had to mean boring, tasteless food?

Whether you’re looking for a dreamy avocado toast topped with the perfect “soft egg”, a freshly made salad that’s actually tasty, a bowl of ancient grains or a spicy tofu wrap – or just grass-fed beef meatballs and delicious mac and cheese (it doesn’t matter if it’s gluten-free) and an ice-cold local beer – Flower Child’s menu is designed to feed the mind, soul and mouth.

The new location will also cater to all lifestyles and food preferences, and feature a menu of fan favorites like the Mother Earth Bowl, featuring ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushrooms, avocado , cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, miso vinaigrette with red peppers and hemp seeds; the chopped vegetable salad, with organic mesclun, romaine lettuce, avocado, heirloom carrots, snow peas, radish, baby tomatoes, cucumber, grilled sesame seeds and ginger miso vinaigrette; and the Thai Dye Wrap, with spicy tofu, Thai basil, avocado, carrots, daikon radish, cilantro and snow peas.
