Canadian restaurant chain Tim Hortons is coming to Houston.
The company plans to open multiple locations, the first in Texas for the bakery and coffee franchise. Their opening is scheduled for the summer of 2022.
“In determining where our coffees will go next, Houston has proven to offer a significant opportunity for growth,” Ricardo Azevedo, regional president of Tim Hortons US, said in a statement. “Most importantly, we chose to put down roots in Houston because we love this city’s friendly hospitality, unique culture and strong sense of community.”
A Canadian favorite, Tim Hortons is known for its specialty coffee drinks, donuts, all-day breakfast and sandwiches. Its flagship item, however, are Timbits – basically donut holes that come in different flavors.

Singer Justin Bieber, also a Canadian and apparently a fan, recently teamed up with Tim Hortons for a new menu item: Timbiebs Timbits.
Tim Hortons broke the news from Houston in an ad that aired during the Houston Texans football game on Sunday.
The chain has more than 5,000 outposts around the world, including 600 in the United States. Each Houston location will have both drive-thrus and restaurants.
