Pickering restaurant manager charged after sexual assault of 16-year-old employee: police

The manager of a Pickering restaurant has been charged with an alleged sexual assault involving one of his employees, police say.

Durham Regional Police said an investigation was launched in March after a 16-year-old victim made allegations against the suspect.

Police say the ‘manager/owner’ of a restaurant on Kingston Road allegedly touched the victim inappropriately in the workplace.

Esmaeil Jafariesfidvajan, 64, a resident of Ajax, has been charged with sexual assault. He was released on recognizance.

Police said they wanted to “make sure there are no more victims”.
