Vancouver, BC | Belgard Kitchen is one of three brands in the Settlement Building, located at 55 Dunlevy Avenue in Railtown, sharing space with Settlement Brewing and Vancouver Urban Winery. The restaurant offers three different services: weekday lunch, weekend brunch and dinner seven nights a week. Our evening service focuses on sharing plates served as tapas, fostering an environment where people can sample multiple dishes and experience the full menu. As a brewery and winery, we showcase our home-brewed, fresh craft beer and BC VQA wine on tap, with nine beer taps and 34 wine taps.

As a restaurant manager, your role is to execute and deliver memorable customer experiences. With a focus on people, you thrive on educating your team to equip them for every scenario they encounter and working the field. You have a passion for food, wine, beer and cocktails, and celebrate what’s locally sourced and homemade. Your ability to build and maintain relationships translates into the kitchen where you partner with the chef de partie. You have a keen eye for detail on all aspects of the business and can move seamlessly from managing the door to ordering the passage and everywhere in between.

You are the CEO’s right-hand man in operational and leadership functions. Outside of floor management, you are responsible for monitoring the schedule, coordinating with management on whoever you want on your team. You have a keen eye to keep the business profitable by meeting your labor and cost goals. You are responsible for reporting on your part of the business at team meetings, reviewing sales, labor, people and environment.

Responsibilities:
– Customer experiences
– Build relationships with customers – make customers lifelong regulars and with staff – have regular check-in and feedback conversations
– Training and development – ​​hosts, servers, bartenders, junior chefs
– Impact on cost of goods sold
– Hit labor budgets
– Liaise with planning needs
– Develop the activity
– Profitability of the restaurant
– Recruitment manager (co-manager)
