Renowned restaurant chain to open near Derby this month

A well-known fast food chain that will open a branch in a former Carphone Warehouse unit will create 40 jobs, it has been revealed.

German Doner Kebab has confirmed that it will have a new restaurant in Middleway Park, Burton, and it is slated to open this month.

With a site already in Derby’s Derbion shopping center, the chain has announced plans to open 47 new outlets in the UK in 2021, building heavily on the 12 opened in 2020, Staffordshire Live reports.

The kebabs are freshly made in front of customers, made with fresh local meats and vegetables, served in hand-toasted breads with signature sauces.

The brand now has over 90 restaurants worldwide and continues to bring the GDK experience to more places around the world.

Daniel Bunce, Managing Director UK & Europe, said: “We are delighted to officially announce our intention to bring the German Doner Kebab experience to Burton.

“Our revolutionary kebabs are revolutionizing kebab in the UK and we are delighted to bring a new fast and relaxed experience to the region, offering fresh and tasty food in a relaxed and modern setting.”

Once opened, German Doner Kebab will offer a full dining experience, as well as take out and click and collect. Delivery will soon be available via GDK delivery partners.
