The Big Smoke announced plans to open the branch at the corner of Wood Street and Cleveland Street.
The catering firm, which already has a branch in Rotherham, announced the arrival on its Facebook page.
A spokesperson said: “We are extremely delighted to announce that we will be opening a second Big Smoke restaurant in Doncaster very soon.
“Please do us a huge favor and like our new page ‘The Big Smoke – Doncaster.’
“Keep your eyes peeled for some very exciting competitions over the next few weeks.”
Diners can expect huge plates of succulent steaks cooked to their liking as well as burgers, ribs and chicken wings.
It describes itself as a “restaurant dedicated to the majesty of meats” adding, “the best cuts of choice well prepared and well stacked, that’s our philosophy.
“Prepare for a feast like no other in the region every time you visit. We are delighted to welcome you to a new culinary experience showcasing the majesty of meats,” the Facebook page reads.
NYC opened in premises formerly occupied by Liberty Grill, a similarly themed American restaurant, which closed in 2014.
Previously, the local hangout was a trendy cocktail bar called Tonik.
